Jake Gibbons finished a slice of pizza while walking along Madison Avenue and waiting for the parade to start for Bainbridge Island’s Grand Old Fourth celebration.

It was Gibbon’s first time in the pizza-slice suit for That’s-A-Some Pizza.

“The toughest part of being a slice of pizza is getting around in the crowd,” he said.

When asked, he said no one had tried to take a bite out of him yet.

“Somebody posed taking a bite, but that was it,” Gibbons said.
