Island Theatre at the Library presents “Anna In the Tropics” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21.
Set in Southern Florida during the late 1920s, “Anna In the Tropics,” by Nilo Cruz describes the life and situations of a set of Cuban-Americans working at a cigar factory. The owners and employees of the factory spend time reveling in the memory of their native Cuba, discussing fine literature — Anna Karenina, in particular — and creating their own real-life dramatics.
