One Call for All appreciates giving |Letters | Dec. 10

Bay Hay & Feed came up with a great idea to encourage islanders to “Buy Local & Give Local.” Bay Hay donated 15 percent of every sale to One Call for All on Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving.

Shoppers got to choose the nonprofit under One Call for All’s umbrella to receive the 15 percent generated from their purchases.

The community response was overwhelming. In just two days, Bay Hay and its patrons raised more than $4,535 for island nonprofits. It is a big boost to our annual Red Envelope campaign, which is about $200,000 behind in donations from this time last year.

One Call for All salutes Bay Hay & Feed for its generosity and the community for their spirited support of a treasured local business and, our non-profits.
