Gateway architectural style isn’t small-town | Letters | Dec. 10

We are writing to express our total agreement with Larry Droguett (“Modern buildings are out of place as gateway,” Nov. 26).

We, too, feel a sense of sadness and loss every time we drive by the corner of Winslow Way and 305 and see the contemporary, cold buildings of metal and glass that greet people coming off the ferry.

Why couldn’t the museum have been built in an architectural style that blends in with the majority of the buildings on Winslow Way, which typify the history and sense of small town that most of us love?
