I appreciate and agree with the mission and core philosophy (compassion and moral sense) that motivates the West Sound Wildlife Shelter. It was clearly and well expressed by executive director Kol Medina in the Bainbridge Review on page A7 of the Oct. 1 edition.
Then in the Bainbridge Islander, Dee Axelrod wrote about Sue Shultz of the Bainbridge Police Department being promoted to commander, where at the end Schultz is quoted as saying: “…I really want the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives…” Again, compassion and moral sense.
Such examples (gems of awareness and action) share an attitude essential to sustain life on Earth
