Buetow’s openness is worth voting for | Letters | Aug. 6

I am writing to endorse Arlene Buetow for KPUD commissioner.

I have known Arlene for over 15 years and we share a professional interest in environmental protection, natural resource preservation as well as personal interests in maintaining the quality of life and environmental diversity of our community.

Having engaged in many lively and spirited conversations with Arlene over the years, I have always found her to be well informed, thoughtful and open to hearing new perspectives.

Her willingness to participate in the public process is admirable and her professional experience running one of Bainbridge’s largest private water utilities and associated relationships with state and local regulatory agencies have provided her the knowledge and experience to make a meaningful contribution to the Kitsap Public Utility District.
