How I wish you could have heard the hundreds of thank yous from grateful community members that use Helpline’s food bank.
Last week, when we were within a day of putting out the last box of cereal on our shelf, we sent out a few strategic emails hoping for a response, any response, and boy, did you respond!
We have estimated over 3,000 pounds of food and several thousand dollars in cash, so we can continue to buy cereal and milk for hungry islanders.
We believe this is only the beginning of a critical surge of requests for services that will likely be with us for quite some time.
We are amazed and pleased that you continue to support the mission of Helpline and your neighbors – one neighbor at a time.
