The Bainbridge boys will have their Metro League matchup against the Eagles (5-6 Metro, 6-10 overall) on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

The Spartans also stand at 5-6 in league play (9-7 overall). BHS is coming off a 66-62 victory last Friday at O’Dea.

The varsity game begins at 7 p.m. Tipoff for the junior varsity game is at 5:15 p.m.

Also Tuesday, the Bainbridge wrestling team travels to Eastside Catholic for a varsity meet. Action begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Bainbridge girls basketball teams welcome Cleveland to the rock on Wednesday, Jan. 29, and things just aren’t getting any easier for the Spartans.

The Eagles are undefeated in Metro, with a perfect 11-0 record (14-2 overall).

It’s been a hot-and-cold January for the Spartans, however, as the girls varsity team has won just three games out of eight (against Rainier Beach, Ingraham and Nathan Hale).

BHS is coming off a loss Friday, after the Spartans stumbled against Holy Names 67-22.

The varsity game gets underway at 7 p.m. Tipoff for the JV game is 5:15 p.m.

On Friday, Jan. 31, both the girls and boys basketball teams take to the road again for a double-header against Rainier Beach.

The girls JV team will take to the court first, at 3:15, with the tipoff for the boys JV squad at 4:45 p.m.

The girls varsity contest follows at 6:15, with the boys varsity game at 8 p.m.

The Spartan swimmers will welcome Bishop Blanchet to the Bainbridge Island Aquatics Center for a meet starting at 3:30 p.m.

The BHS gymnastics team is also home, for a meet against North Kitsap that starts at 6 p.m.

Three Spartan teams will also see action at all-comers events on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The Spartan gymnasts will head to an all-comers meet at West Seattle featuring Chief Sealth, Holy Names, Ingraham, Nathan Hale and West Seattle. The meet starts at 10 a.m.

The wrestling team will head to Parkland for an all-comers meet at Washington High. The meet starts at 10 a..m.

Spartans swimmers will travel to Seattle for an all-comers Metro matchup with  Bishop Blanchet, Chief Sealth, Cleveland, Eastside Catholic, Franklin, Holy Names/O’Dea, Ingraham, Lakeside, Nathan Hale, Seattle Prep, West Seattle at Helene Madison Pool. Events get underway at noon.
