Spartans stymie Seahawks again in girls water polo

The Bainbridge Spartans pounded the Peninsula Seahawks late last week in girls varsity water polo.

The outcome was never in doubt as Bainbridge prevailed 17-3 in the road matchup last Thursday.

Grace Carson led the Spartans’ overly ample offense. The senior captain had eight goals against the Seahawks.

Frances Weller finished with a hat trick for Bainbridge.

Kristina DuPont and Lila Schroer contributed two goals each for the Spartans, while Milena Broom and Maja Carroll added one goal each.

The win marked a sweep of Peninsula this year by Bainbridge. The Spartans also prevailied against Peninsula during their matchup at home in April.

It was a much closer contest in junior varsity action.

The Spartans JV team also posted a win, but by just one goal, 3-2.

Melony Bourgeois, Grace Pratt and Schroer had one goal apiece in the JV victory.
