BALLARD – The Bainbridge Spartan junior varsity gymnasts had several top-10 finishes at the Metro League All Comers Meet at Ballard High on Jan. 31.

Anika Vroom placed ninth in all-around scores with a 22.6.

The Spartans also saw strong competition on the bars. Anika Vroom led the Spartans with a score of 4.0.

Also competing in the event were Sydney Dalessi (3.9), Emily Rogers (3.95) and Helen Fritchman (3.7).

Claire Laughbon tied for seventh place on beam (6.9).

Vroom placed ninth on beam for Bainbridge with a score of 6.8.

Dalessi was right behind with a score of 6.4, followed by Mako Rutherford (5.8), Rogers (5.8) and Micheala Hogger (4.8).

Sydney Dalessi won second place for BHS in the floor exercise event with a score of 7.5.

Vroom placed seventh (7.0). Hogger earned a score of 5.0, and Rogers contributed a 4.5.
