Several Spartans snag Metro accolades

BAINBRIDGE – Several Spartans from among the ranks of the Bainbridge High varsity football team were selected as part of the Metro Valley Division All League roster this year.

Jacob Hogger was defensive MVP for the conference, and Ethan Peloquin, Kyle Bierly, Nate Michaels, Solon Rich and Hogger were selected to the first team’s defensive lineup.

Nathan Eaton, Mitch Melby and Jakob Mathisen were selected to the second team.

Alan Griffiths, Alex Ledbetter and Max MacLeod were honorable mentions.

On the offense side, Peloquin and Mathisen were named to the first team.

Bierly, Rich, Gannon Winker, Jonah Goblin and Max MacLeod were second-team selections.

Ledbetter and Mac Shelbert were honorable mentions.

Also, Eaton and Tanner Shattuck were selected to the special teams first team as punter and place kicker, respectively.

The Spartans recently capped their first winning season since 2010. Bainbridge finished at 5-4 overall.
