Playoffs continue for softball teams

The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in men’s recreation softball both won their opening games in the postseason playoffs, according to the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District.

The playoffs started last week, and No. 1 Agate Asphalt defeated Prestige Worldwide, 29-8, while No. 2 Inglorious Batters bested Odds & Ends, 12-9.

Teams are playing their way through a double elimination bracket this season.

Prestige Worldwide (#9) defeated R-Gang (#8) 21-5

Odds & Ends (#7) defeated Banana Sluggers (#10) 28-8

BOF (#4) defeated Kracken Ballz (#5) 16-15

AUG. 1 RESULTS

Prestige Worldwide defeated Banana Sluggers (forfeit)

R-Gang defeated Odds & Ends 14-9

86ers defeated Inglorious Batters 20-17

Slainte defeated R-Gang 23-8

Kracken defeated Prestige Worldwide 9-4

Agate defeated BOF 23-8
