Two assistant coaches at Bainbridge High are stepping down.

Matt Smith, an assistant football coach with the Spartans, resigned effective June 27.

Sonja Hanson, an assistant volleyball coach at Bainbridge High, is also resigning. Her departure date was July 17.

Bainbridge High has a number of vacancies to fill in its coaching ranks.

The Spartans are looking for a new head gymnastics coach, following last year’s retirement of longtime coach Cindy Guy.

The school also needs a C-Team girls basketball coach, and a C-Team boys basketball coach, for the 2019-20 school year.
