Hailey Fink hits hole-in-one for BHS girls

Hailey Fink made a rare hole-in-one at a school match and Elise Walters shot a 46 to lead Banbridge High School to a 208 to 246 win over Bremerton Thursday.

It was BHS’s fifth-straight win.

Fink, a junior, recorded the ace from 133 yards out with an 8 iron on the par 3 hole 12 at Wing Point Country Club.

Other scores for the Spartans were: Grace Charintranont 51, Sara Kreigh 55, Maya Wilder and Fink, both 56, and Brodie Exarhos 70.

For Bremerton, Halee Peterson and Claire Warther, both with 57, Cailey Duke 63, Luciana Taylor 69, Jenna Deane 71 and Elizibeth Garcia 72.

The Bainbridge boys soccer team also is undefeated, going 6-0 in Olympic League play ant 7-0 overall. Tuesday, the Spartans had another shutout, beating Sequim 3-0. On the season they’ve pitched six shutouts on the pitch, outscoring their six opponents 18-0.

The baseball team also is unbeaten, 4-0 in Olympic League play, 7-0 overall. Thursday they pounded North Mason 16-0. Tuesday the Spartans beat Bremerton 12-6.

In girls tennis, the Spartans are 1-0. They beat Port Angeles 6-1.

In fastpitch softball, Bainbridge is 0-4 in league, 1-4 overall. Thursday they lost to Port Angeles 3-2.

In boys golf, BI is 1-3 on the season.

North Kitsap

The baseball team is in third place, 4-1 in league and 7-1 overall. Thursday, North Kitsap beat Bremerton 7-1. Tuesday, the Vikings lost a tough one to Port Angeles 2-1.

In fastpitch softball, NK is in a tie for second with a 3-1 record, and is 4-1 overall. Thursday they blanked Kingston 10-0. Tuesday, North Kitsap edged Sequim 8-6.

In boys soccer, NK is 3-2. Tuesday, the Vikings blanked Port Angeles 6-0.

In girls tennis, NK is 1-1. They beat Port Angeles 5-2 but lost to first-place Sequim 4-3.

In boys golf, NK is 1-1 on the season.

In girls golf, the Vikings are 0-2.

Kingston

In boys golf, the Bucs are 3-0 on the year.

In boys soccer, KHS is 3-3 in league, 3-4 overall. Tuesday the Bucs fell to Bremerton 3-1.

In fastpitch softball, the Bucs are 1-3 in league, 2-3 overall. On Tuesday, Kingston beat Bainbridge 10-6.

In baseball, the Bucs are 1-3 on the season in league.

In girls tennis, Kingston is 0-1. They lost to Olympic 4-3.

In girls golf, Kingston is 0-2.
