Vikings play at Fife Nov. 9 in state playoffs

North Kitsap, seeded seventh, placed second in the Class 2A district playoffs last week, losing to Fife 2-1 in the championship game on a penalty kick.

The Vikings won their semifinal game, also in dramatic fashion, 3-2 over Enumclaw, claiming victory in a shootout.

Their opening game wasn’t any easier, scoring in overtime to beat Lindbergh 3-2.

The state tournament kicks off this week, and the 13th-seeded Vikings will face fourth-seeded Fife again for a chance at the quarterfinals. The game will be Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. at Fife.

The Bainbridge girls just missed the Class 3A tourney, losing to Peninsula 3-0 in a play-in game.

Volleyball playoffs are taking place this week.
