The Bainbridge High School varsity wrestling team hosted their annual home turf tournament, the Island Invitational, Saturday, Jan. 12.
The yearly Bainbridge High-based wrestling tournament, a highlight event of the Spartan season, saw teams from Sequim, Interlake, Kingston, Kennedy Catholic, North Mason, Mercer Island, Port Angeles, Olympic, Ingraham, North Kitsap and Edmonds-Woodway attend.
Bainbridge finished in eighth place overall (103 points) and boasted eight top 10 finishers — including one champ: senior team captain Oleg Maguire (138 pounds).
