Bainbridge lost its opening conference match in girls varsity volleyball against Lakeside last week at home.

Lakeside escaped with a three-set victory, with scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-22.

Bainbridge High had a slow start, but gained some momentum in the third set, said Spartan Coach Dominique Atherley.

Ava Targett had four blocks and three kills for Bainbridge, while teammate Allie Wildsmith contributed two aces and three kills.
