Juanita loss knocks Spartans from SeaKing tourney

A first-game loss to Juanita Feb. 15 ended the postseason run of the Bainbridge High School varsity girls basketball team.

The final score was 57-44 in the Rebels’ favor.

It was Game 3 of the 2020 SeaKing 3A Girls Basketball Tournament, a loser-out match, held at Bellevue College.

The island squad had gone 2-for-3 in the 3A District Qualifier just days before, scoring a 59-52 win against West Seattle Feb. 11, suffering a 44-40 loss to Lakeside Feb. 12, and rebounding to advance with a 55-48 win against Holy Names Academy Feb. 13.

The BHS squad ended the regular season with an overall record of 13-11 (9-7 in conference).
