Island boys beat Roosevelt in golf at Meadowmeer

The Spartans were technically playing at home Wednesday, Sept. 18, though the venue was moved from Wing Point Golf & Country Club to Meadowmeer. Regardless, the Bainbridge High School varsity boys golf team bested their guests from Roosevelt 115-110, upping their overall season record to 2-1.

Ben Chapman was the Spartan score leader. He shot 40 on the Par-35 course, earning 22 points.

Parker Loverich and Taylor Bjur each shot 41 for Bainbridge.

Fellow Spartans Zach Cooper and Nicholas Zambrano each shot 44.

Owen Rector, who shot 47, was the last of the top six players on the Spartan side whose collective score decided the match.

The Bainbridge boys next hit the road for a two-game away series and returned home to host Cleveland Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Wing Point.
