EC loss ends BHS girls basketball season

An outsized loss to Eastside Catholic on the road ended the Bainbridge High School varsity girls’ regular basketball season Feb. 7.

It was their second loss, after the final home game of the year the day before, against Garfield, and saw the Spartans on the wrong side of a 87-29 score.

The island squad finished the regular season with an overall record of 11-9 (9-7 in conference), ranked last in the Metro Mountain Division but sixth in the league overall.

Next, the Spartans advanced to the 3A District Qualifiers and played West Seattle Tuesday, Feb. 11.
