Adam Paulson, a senior at Bainbridge High School, recently was named 18U/16U Select Player of the Year.

His team finished its season with a 37-15-3 record, winning the Junior Americans Nuclear Meltdown tournament last November and the state championship in March.

Paulson scored 22 goals, including four game-winners and a hat trick, along with 20 assists.

For 2021-22 Paulson was named an assistant captain and was one of five defensemen for the Sno-King Jr. Thunderbirds’ Select team whose home ice rink is in Kingsgate in Kirkland.

He recently participated in the 2022 Chipotle USA Hockey Youth Tier II 18U 2A National Championships at Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena in Irvine, CA.

He was honored with the 18U/16U Select Player of the Year award given to players who are “exceptional, demonstrating the Sno-King ideals beyond talent and ability on the ice. These nominees show leadership, dedication and character.”

He started playing ice hockey as a Junior Warrior at the Bremerton Ice Center and has played with the Sno-King Amateur Hockey Association for the past three seasons.
