SEATTLE – The Bainbridge High varsity boys soccer team came away victorious from a non-league road game against Chief Sealth Friday, April 25.

The final score was 2-1 BHS.

Bainbridge’s co-captain William Economy scored the game’s first goal almost immediately, putting the Spartans on the board first at 58 seconds of play.

That early lead would hold until Chief Sealth managed to break through the Spartans’ defense and even things up at 28 minutes.

With the end of the game quickly approaching and overtime looking like a real possibility, Gerrit Mahling managed to assure the BHS win with the final goal of the game, assisted by Anton Easterbrook, at 78 minutes of play.
