BHS busted 1-2 in three-game LAX streak

MERCER ISLAND – Ouch.

The Bainbridge High boys varsity lacrosse team was bested two-out-of-three times in a recent three-day, three-game non-conference series at Mercer Island High School.

First, on Friday, March 31, the Spartans lost 7-3 to Faith Lutheran.

Then, on Saturday, April 1, there was nothing funny about a scrappy 17-11 loss to Palo Verde.

Finally, the boys from Bainbridge rallied to cap the disappointing weekend with a happy ending. They beat Centennial 12-4 Sunday, April 2.

The single win and two losses evened the BHS team’s overall season record to 6-6 (4-1 in conference).

The Spartans next had a bit of a break (Spring Break, you might say) and are next slated to play against Bishop Blanchet at home at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11.
