Vera Agnes Enright, 102, died Dec. 18 at her Bainbridge Island home.
She was born April 7, 1903, in Chicago, Ill., to Francis and Agnes Enright and went to public school there.
In the 1930s, she worked for Curtis Publishing, a magazine publishing house, in Chicago. She was sent by the company to be office manager at its New York office in the then-new Rockefeller Center, and she vividly remembered seeing each Rockettes show.
She moved away from Chicago for family reasons to Anchorage, Alaska, and was active in the Grandmother’s Club there.
She moved to Sequim in 1984 and lived in various places on the Olympic Peninsula, coming to Bainbridge Island about 10 years ago.
She had a fantastic memory, and at one time was a national trivia contest winner, receiving cars, radios, furs and a yacht.
She is survived by her nephew Bud (Mary) Enright of Merrimack Port, Mass., and related Enrights of Chicago.
At her request there will be no services. She will be cremated and interred in Chicago in the cemetery with her parents.
Arrangements are by Bleitz Funeral Home of Seattle.
