Truman T. Van Bebber | Passages

BREMERTON — Truman Troy Van Bebber, 85, passed away on Oct. 26, 2016 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1930.

Truman attended Kirkland High School and later worked as a grocery store clerk and produce manager at the Bainbridge Island IGA store in the 1970s and 1980s. He retired in 1985.

Truman later devoted his time to his nursery business in Snohomish, Washington, supplying flowers, gardening and vegetable plants throughout the Pacific Northwest. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Truman is survived by his wife Elizabeth L. Van Bebber and daughter Brenda K. Mirkovich (Martin) all of Bainbridge Island; son Charles W. Van Bebber (Susan) of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; and grandchildren Elizabeth G. Van Bebber of Wenham, Massachusetts and Jonathan I. Van Bebber of Carlisle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ina Van Bebber; and brother, Kenneth R. Van Bebber.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the graveside service at 2 p.m., Nov. 7 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
