Former Seattle resident Sumio Sakaguchi, age 81, died June 11 at his Bainbridge Island home.

He was born Oct. 11, 1921 in Seattle.

He is survived by his wife Irene, of Bainbridge Island; one daughter, Mika (Randall) Sakaguchi-Peart of Issaquah; one brother, Kunichika (Sono) Sakaguchi of Seattle; one sister-in-law, Alice Kawanishi of Bainbridge Island; one brother-in-law, Tosh Kawanishi of Bainbridge Island and two grandchildren.

At his request, no services will be held.

Arrangements were under the direction of Kass Funeral Home, Bainbridge Island.
