Sidney Hoover

Sidney Dutton Hoover died August 28, 2025 at the house he designed and built on Duwamish Head where he had lived for 45 years with his wife, Laura Sue, who survives him. He was born May 30, 1944, the eldest son of Sidney Lloyd and Zoe Anne Hoover. He graduated Valedictorian from Bainbridge High School (‘62) and earned B.A. & M.A. Degrees from University of Washington. He worked in the Seattle Municipal Court System, retiring from Probation Services. He authored novel, Ego Eclipsed, and was a home computer musician. Other survivors include their step-sons, Derek Lloyd (Jackie) of Palm Desert, CA, Neil Lloyd of Evanston, IL and their extended families; brother Jeff Hoover (Rosie Carey) of Kirkland and sister Joy Hoover (Dave Gerkin) of Roseburg, OR.
