Rose M. Strobl, age 95, died May 18 at Messenger House.

She was born March 8, 1907 in Chicago, Ill. to Alois and Helena Stumvoll. She spent most of her young adult life as a homemaker in Chicago.

She and her husband Joseph retired to Alabama and in 1977 moved to Bainbridge to be near their daughter Carol Lubovich.

She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.

She is survived by her daughter Carol Lubovich of Bainbridge Island; five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held May 22 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Arrangements were under the direction of Kass Funeral Home.
