Robert Scott “Bob” Wainio, 46, died May 24 at his ranch near Broadwater, Neb.
He was born June 11, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Richard Wainio and Kay Thomas.
He and his family moved to Bainbridge Island in 1996.
He was a senior founding partner of the Cleveland-based private equity group Blue Point Capital Partners. He was a passionate hunter and sportsman.
He is survived by his wife Amy, daughters Catherine, Stephenie and Morgan, mother Kay, father Richard, and brothers David and Richard.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at 1 p.m. May 28 at the Wainio family residence at 7195 High School Road, Bainbridge Island.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob’s name can be made to the Morrill County, Nebraska Ducks Unlimited Chapter. Arrangements were by Jolliffe Funeral Home at Bridgeport, Nebraska.
