Robert N. Lewis, age 65

Robert N. Lewis died Nov. 9 at his home on Bainbridge Island. He was 65.

He was born on April 9, 1944, to Avanelle Vera and Kenneth Leslie Lewis. Robert lived in Tacoma and Portland, Ore., graduating from Franklin High School in 1961. He went on to graduate from The University of Puget Sound in 1965 with a degree in political science.

He met his wife Betsy Larkin in Denver, Colo. They married in 1967, and lived in San Francisco and Tacoma, eventually moving to Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Robert worked in finance throughout his career. He started at Dean Witter, then First Interstate and ICM Asset Management. He retired briefly in 2005, then went to work at Eagle Harbor Asset Management.

He enjoyed travel, wine-tasting, dinners, fishing, reading and boating.

He is survived by his wife Betsy Lewis and daughters Wynne and Meredith Lewis.
