Richard Wood of Bainbridge Island died on March 16, 2015 at age 60.

He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. He leaves his wife Jeannie; sons Dash and Julian; and their friend Cynthia.

He was happiest being with Jeannie at the farmers market, selling her pastries and talking to his friends. He enjoyed playing the congas with his band, Grupo Meridianal. He was an accomplished carpenter and helped renovate many homes on the Island.

He loved animals, esp. his chickens, peacocks, cats and dogs. He loved fishing with Dash and watching cartoons with Julian. Always up for a good time with his family, Rick spent his last night watching “Cinderella” and thoroughly enjoying himself.

A memorial celebration was held at Seabold Community Hall on March 29.

A fund has been established at Union Bank to help his family.
