Pedro Cervin, age 80

Pedro Cervin died Nov. 15 at The Messenger House on Bainbridge Island. He was 80.

He was born Jan. 18, 1930, in El Paso, Texas to Gildado and Teresa Cervin. Pedro grew up in El Paso and later move to Hollywood, Calif. He worked as a professional boxer in Los Angeles and was in the boxing hall of fame twice as a professional boxing champion. He also enjoyed many other sports and liked reading newspapers. Pedro was a U.S Veteran.

He is survived by his wife Marjie Lee Cervin of Bainbridge Island; nephew and nieces Manuel, Norma, Liz and Marie; and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Arture, Lupe and Alice. Services will be held in Los Angeles, Calif. An online guestbook is at www.cookfamilyfuneralhome.com.
