Nash Reijnen

Mar. 3, 2019

Nash Reijnen was an extraordinary man – truly one in a million. He was so compassionate in the way he would be there for anyone in need, always going out his way to help.

Nash had the natural ability to make everyone smile, and truly saw the beauty in the world and everything beautiful that existed in it. He took nothing for granted – nothing went unnoticed. He always had his head in the sun and his heart in nature, and shared that passion with his son, Gård. Nash’s beautiful blue eyes were as blue as the ocean, which was fitting as the water brought him the most joy. The water represented a sense of adventure. It was while on the water he felt freedom and most importantly, as he would always say, he felt like he was one with the ocean.

Water became second in his life after Nash found his soulmate, Charlotte. It wasn’t long before he brought her to one of his favorite beaches and spelled out the question “Will You Marry Me?” with candles in the sand. From then on, their two souls were connected as the ebb and flow of the ocean.

He never smiled as big as the day he became a father. Nash shared his love for nature and the outdoors every chance he got with his beloved boy. His little family was his whole world, living each day together in the house he remodeled by hand. His took pride in his home and his family, and most enjoyed spending each morning and each evening looking out at the water from his kitchen table, a sight that brought him peace.

Nash Reijnen left us far too soon. He passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, at just 30 years old. We will miss his big blue eyes, beautiful smile but most of all we will miss his huge, loving, light-filled heart. Nash shared a light with all who knew him – a light we will be honored to carry forward in his absence.

Nash left behind his wife, Charlotte Reijnen and son, Gård Reijnen (Poulsbo), parents Derek and Joan Reijnen (Bainbridge Island) in-laws Chad and Suzanne Nelsen (Poulsbo), brother Kiel Reijnen and family (Bainbridge Island), grandfather James Daubenberger (Port Townsend), dogs Ziggy, Gander and Roo, cat Buddha and numerous extended family and friends.

Arrangements entrusted to Stone Chapel Poulsbo Mortuary. Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
