Manfred “Matt” Raymond Borgen, Jr., 62, of McCleary, Wash., died Feb. 17 at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Jan. 29, 1940, in Tacoma, to Manfred Raymond Borgen, Sr., and Evelyn Ione (Nelson) Borgen. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1958.
He was a firefighter in Bremerton for 14 years, and maintenance manager of Olympia’s Baily Motor Inn for 16 years. His hobbies were hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his companion, Alice Manley of Manchester; sons Greg (Cindy) Borgen of Bainbridge Island, and Gary Borgen of Reno, Nev., and grandchildren Melissa and Jessica Borgen of Bainbridge Island. He was preceded in death by daughter Arlene Borgen in 1967.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 22 at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
