June Muriel Mathisen,

June Muriel Mathisen died Jan. 21 at her home on Bainbridge Island. She was 92.

She was born Feb. 8, 1917 in Vancouver, B.C., to George Edwin Butcher and Lucy Maude Muggeridge.

June was known for her beautiful roses, cooking, baking, sewing and quilting.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

June is survived by her children, Harold Mathisen, Jr. (Ellie), Muriel Beach (Ken), George Mathisen, Larry Mathisen (Kitt), Cindy Amo (Jerome), her grandchildren Mikal Mathisen (Stephanie), Kenny Mathisen, Becky Mathisen, Patrick Mathisen, Jon Mathisen, Haley Mathisen, Madison Amo and Molly Amo; great-grandsons Jakob and Nathan Mathisen and brother William Butcher.

June was preceded in death by her husband Harold Miller Mathisen.
