John Lee Oleson, died on Sept. 30 2021 from complications from diabetes. He was born in Aberdeen WA, son of the late Lee and Phyllis Oleson. After H.S. John worked long nights to put himself through college. He graduated from University of Washington with a degree in advertising. He achieved great success during his career in advertising. He chose to further his interest in education and completed his MA degree in organizational development in early 90’s. Soon after, he also completed an advance certificate at the Hudson Institute as a personal coach. He often said how much he valued his experience at Hudson. He had a real interest in mentoring and helping people discover their purpose and passions in their lives. He had a great sense of humor and deep heart for those he held close to his heart. He had many interests including the Outdoors, Travel, Reading, Animals (in particular his loyal dog Harley) and the Arts. John lived and loved residing on Bainbridge Island for over 40 years.
John is survived by his children Son Taryn, Daughters Hillary, Jamela. His younger Brother Jeff Oleson of Newport Or. His Aunt Diane and Uncle Shorty, Cousins Nephews and Nieces, Grand Children and many close friends. A celebration of of his life is planned on Bainbridge Island some time in the future.
