Jack Arthur Wallgran

Feb. 3, 1946 – May 19, 2017

Jack Arthur Wallgren, aged 71, passed away on May 19, 2017. He was born to Elsie Anna (Radloff) Wallgren and George Vincent Wallgren on Feb. 3, 1946 in Hays, Kansas. He bravely served his country in the Navy from 1965 to 1969 including a tour in Vietnam. He married Ann Wilson in Denver, Colorado in 1973. They moved to Poulsbo, Washington in 1977.

Jack loved to listen to his son Joel play the clarinet and found great joy in riding horses with his daughter Emily. After retiring, Jack and Ann enjoyed traveling the world. From Denali to South Africa, India to Peru, they enjoyed the experience and adventures together. They also enjoyed spending their winters in the southwest desert and took pleasure in many jeep trips.

Jack is survived by his wife Ann, son Joel and daughter Emily, and his sisters Thelma, Peggy and Helen. He is preceded in death by his mother Elsie, stepfather Jim, father George and brother Roger.

An avid supporter of our country’s National Parks, Jack was especially fond of Yellowstone and it’s wolves. His family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers any donations be made to The Yellowstone Wolf Project at: http://support.yellowstone.org/site/DocServer/New_Wolf_Donor_Flyer_2014.pdf?docID=821

Jack was the most kind and generous man and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Please join family and friends for a Celebration of Life at 3pm on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Kitsap Memorial State Park.
