Harold A. Boggs

Bainbridge Island resident Harold A. “Hal” Boggs, Jr., age 70, died Oct. 22 at Wyatt House.
He was born Aug. 5, 1934 in Memphis, Tenn., to Harold A. Boggs, Sr. and Mary Louise (Todd) Boggs.
He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1957. He served in the Navy as a pilot and later as a flight instructor on the venerable A-4s.
While attending Naval post-graduate school in Monterrey, Calif., he met and later married Judy Ann Ecklund on May 25, 1963 in Reno, Nev.
During his career, he worked at Corning Glass Company from 1965-1980 in sales and finance; Pfizer, Inc. in Columbia, Md., and Fairfield, Ct., and at Boeing in Seattle from 1988-1996, also in finance.
He was a fine watercolorist and art enthusiast, an avid reader and interested in politics.
He spent his last days surrounded by his loved ones and died peacefully.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa McCabe, Seattle; Shannon Dow, Bainbridge Island and one granddaughter, Hailey Todd McCabe, Seattle.
