Edward Wayne Brown

Edward Wayne Brown, 77, a Navy veteran and Poulsbo resident, passed away June 21, 2017.

Many knew him as “Eddie the Barber” while others as “Fast Eddie.” Ed passed away under the care of his daughter, Shelly Brown and wife, Perry Ann Porter.

Ed was born in Edwardsville, Illinois on May 9, 1939. He owned barber shops in Alaska, Sandy’s on Bainbridge, and cut hair for 12 years at Snipper’s Barber Shop in Kingston.

Ed was a talented gentleman, singing and playing guitar with different bands; sharing his excellent voice with many. He was a self-taught artist, dabbling in oils.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred and daughter, Christy Manus. He is survived by his sister, Debra Brinker and grandson, Alex Manus.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
