A family in mourning is saddened to announce the passing of David Lawrence Agne Sr., 81, of Bainbridge Island. At 6:57 a.m. on Father’s Day, June, 17, 2018, the sun set for a final time on this Navy veteran’s cruise.

Hailing originally from Utica, New York, Mr. Agne finished his impressionable years in the Los Angeles, California area. He spent his high school summers making sandwiches for the fishermen that would frequent the Santa Monica Pier.

Mr. Agne is survived by nine great-grandchildren, eight grandchildren, five living children, and at least one more great-grandchild scheduled for delivery later this year.

A small gathering is planned for family where Mr. Agne’s ashes will be scattered on one of the many rivers where he enjoyed Man’s Favorite Sport —fishing.
