Curt Hayes

September 9, 1937 – February 7, 2011

      Curt Hayes, 73, died February 7, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas of cardio/pulmonary failure; he also suffered from Alzheimer’s disease.

      Curt lived with his wife Marialice on Bainbridge from 1999 through 2007. Curt taught at the University of Nebraska, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and served as Chair of the Department of Elementary Education and Specialized Studies at Boise State University. He was the recipient of Fulbright grants to Japan and Taiwan. While on Bainbridge he taught at Olympic College and was an active member of Cedars Unitarian Universalist Church.

      Curt is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marialice, his son Michael and wife, M’lissa, daughter Katie, and 5 grandchildren.
