Bunny Miriam Lee Burger Stumbo, 71
Miriam Lee “Bunny” (Burger) Stumbo died Dec. 27, 2009 after battling cancer.
She was born March 22, 1938 to Charles Wesley and Miriam Maureen (Davis) Burger in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She married Stanley Charles Stumbo in 1960. She earned a BS in nursing from University of Pittsburgh and her MA in education from Central Washington University. She taught for Central Kitsap School District from 1979-1996 and was a mediator and trainer with Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County.
She is survived by her husband, Stan; sister Carol Burger; daughters Cheryl Stumbo and Lauren (Stumbo) Burkum (Philip) and grandkids Kelsey and Tyler.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 17 at The Island School. Donations can be made to DRC of Kitsap County or Cedars UUC, Bainbridge.
