Bob Isaacson

Bob Isaacson, of Bainbridge Island, died on Jan. 29. He was 68.

He grew up on Lake Vermillion in Minnesota and then served in the marines as an A-4 fighter pilot in the early 1960s. He went on to further his career in the skies with American Airlines for the next 35 years.

He and his wife, Carol, moved to Bainbridge in 1990 with their two children, Amber and Dan. “Ike” was a larger-than-life character who loved flying, golfing, and fishing.

He was a husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be remembered for his humor and courage in the face of his devastating illness.
