UPDATE PSE: 43,000 still without power

Puget Sound Energy reported just after 10 a.m. Friday that roughly 43,000 customers were still without power after Thursday night's windstorm.

PSE spokesman Ray Lane said crews are dealing with more than 730 different outages locations across the power company’s service area.

The hardest hit areas include Kingston/Hansville, south Whidbey Island,Lacey/Yelm/south Thurston County and Woodinville/Bothell.

The peak of the outages hit at approximately 1 a.m. Friday, Lane reported, and almost 105,000 customers lost electricity.

Ten neighborhoods on Bainbridge Island were still without power just after 11 a.m. Dec. 12.
