Thousands without power on Bainbridge

More than 1,000 homes on Bainbridge Island lost power Friday afternoon as a large rainstorm swept through the Puget Sound region.

Puget Sound Energy reported 1,001 customers without power on north Bainbridge shortly before 2 p.m. Power is expected to be restored by 4:30 p.m.

More than 50 additional homes near Gazzam Lake also lost power just before 2 p.m. PSE expects to have power restored there by 4 p.m.
