State lawmakers plan Town Halls in BI, Bremerton

Member of the state’s 23rd Legislative District will have Town Halls March 11 in Bainbridge Island and Bremerton.

The three lawmakers, who are all Democrats, will provide a brief update on budget priorities and discuss a range of issues, including affordable housing, public safety, education, clean air and water, local jobs and infrastructure, health care and more.

On hand will be state Sen. Christine Rolfes, along with state Reps. Drew Hansen and Tarra Simmons. The legislature is in the midst of a 105-day session set to end April 23.

The first meeting will be from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Bremer Student Center at Olympic College, 1600 Chester Ave. The second will be from 1:30-3 p.m. in Council Chambers at Bainbridge City Hall, 280 Madison Ave. N.
