Quitslund still leads over Scott in BI

As more general election ballots from Nov. 2 are counted, Jon Quitslund continues to hang on to his lead for Bainbridge Island City Council.

In District 3, a seat vacated by Christy Carr, Quitslund still leads Kent Scott by 245 votes 51% to 49%.

Quitslund emphasized his time on the Planning Commission, his attention to detail and his work on the Comp Plan. Scott stressed his support of the Comp Plan, protecting wise development, preserving its rural character and encouraging sustainability.

BI turnout is 54%, the highest in Kitsap County. Countywide turnout was 39% with 73,430 of 186,490 registered voters actually taking part.
