Outdoor movies return to Battle Point Park

This Friday will see the return of Movies in the Park.

Starting at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4 visitors to Battle Point Park are invited to find seating in front of the park district’s new inflatable movie screen for a free showing of family-friendly films along with some light concessions. This Friday’s screening of “A Dog’s Purpose” will begin at dusk.

“A Dog’s Purpose” is a dramedy that follows the lives of a dog as he is reincarnated as different breeds belonging to various owners. Over the course of multiple lifetimes, the pup’s path continuously intersects with the life of a boy who rescued the pooch in 1962.

Upcoming movies are:

Aug. 11 – “Sing”

Aug. 18 – “Moana”

Aug. 25 – “Alice Through the Looking Glass”

Sept. 1 – “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”
