Number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Washington jumps to 70

The number of confirmed cases of 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) jumped to 70 Thursday.

Washington state health officials said the new cases include one in Grant County.

On Wednesday, there were 39 confirmed cases in Washington — all in King and Snohomish counties.

The latest update on the spread of COVID-19 in the state has 51 cases in King County, 18 in Snohomish County, and one in Grant County.

So far, 10 people have died from coronavirus; nine in King County, and one in Snohomish County.
