No problems reported on Bainbridge during 911 outage

Bainbridge emergency responders said they experienced no problems during last week’s 911 outage.

CENCOM Kitsap, which handles 911 emergency calls for local police and fire departments, announced an intermittent 911 outage the afternoon of Nov. 13 that was affecting “multiple telephone service providers in our area.”

Kitsap residents were advised to call 360-307-5844 if they could not connect to 911.

The outages were reported at 3:44 p.m., and lasted until roughly 4:30 p.m. Nov. 13.

Deputy Chief Jared Moravec of the Bainbridge Island Fire Department said the intermittent 911 outage did not cause any problems on the island.
